Here is my block from yesterday, with still a heap of other bits and pieces to add but so far I am happy with the colour combo. Have picked out a few more pieces of fabric that I just have to have to add to the quilt just waiting for pay day.
And I made inroads into the blank space in Karen's quilt.
So my favourite thing this week is my sanity keeper Quilting might head out to the sewing room once the kids are home from school. Check out Mrs P for more FTF.

Both pieces are just delightful! I agree, quilting is a great stress reliever. Here's hoping tomorrow is better with your 10 year old.
Really beautiful! I cannot sew a straight line to save myself so I admire tremendously the work of a quilter :-)
they are fabulous, really beautiful colours, you are very talented, quilting can be fun, and give lots of satisfaction when they turn out as lovely as yours.
I love your work, really beautiful. I do like needle turn but it's not a favourite, and as I am rubbish at machine quilting I can't say that's a favourtie either. So neither of those would calm me down, however I am very pleased you enjoy doing both as it would be very satisfying to be able to produce such lovely work.
Both projects are lovely. I like your color choices for the new quilt. It's amazing how effective quilting is at maintaining sanity and lowering stress. Though like Marg, applique isn't a quilting activiity that reduces my stress.
Lovely! I think I'd like to learn the Applique technique. :o) I completely understand how sewing can be a great stress reliever. When you have to focus on your stitching, your troubles seem to float away. :o) Happy FTF!
I love both your choices and I too love to machine quilt.
I've never been so calm as when I'm quilting.
I've only done a teeny tiny bit of machine applique at is was very far from a stress reliever! One day I'll get more practise at it. Love your pieces.
I totally agree that quilting is a great stress reliver. When everything else seems to be a bit crazy you can shut yourself in your sewing space and do something creative. It doesnt talk back (very often ) , it doesnt wander round behind you making mess, and you end up with something fabulous at the end .
Arent we lucky to have such a great hobby!
The block looks terrific. I yelped when I aw it and said to Mr. P - but she only started that yesterday! You go girl.
