The kids have there own tree where they can put all their
My trees have the special ornaments that we have been collecting over the years and the hand made ornies that I received over the years from the Passion 4 Primitive swaps that I use to be involved in. Some of the ingenuity of those women were amazing they really thought outside the box when it came to ornie swaps. I know the prim stuff is not everyone's cup of tea but I really love bringing them out because they were all made with so much care and I remember how much fun it was to receive my parcel at the end of the swap with all these amazing things carefully wrapped and received from all over Australia.

Oh yes, a few memories there!
I haven't got mine out yet, running a bit behind schedule...
I can totally relate to that, BP used to want to decorate the tree, so I would let her do it but then each night I would re-decorate a bit at a time so she wouldn't notice until it was more how I would like it. I never thought to have two trees, drat!
How exciting to receive all those lovely decorations in the mail.
Can't wait to put my tree up this year.
I used to feel the same way about the tree, but I'm over it now. I used to think that meant great emotional growth on my part, allowing the kids to do their thing etc. But I realised the other day that it's more to do with them getting older and better at the tree decorating thing. My boys did it this year (16 & 10) and the 16 year old vetoed anything he didn't think was asthetically pleasing as soon as his brother picked it up. So yeah, ours looks pretty good this year. (He's really good with design too)
I love your trees!
hehe, giggling over your crankyness over the xmas tree help! I usually just get cranky at the tangle of lights and have given up with tinsel!
you have some creative ornies there, very clever.
I feel exactly the same way! Apparently we're ALL contol freaks.
I think two trees is a fabulous idea. And yours are so pretty. Love some of those ornaments.
(Kids Chrostmas craft is a lovely idea...I stress the word idea. Im sure I have a manky glitter pine cone somewhere ...)
lol..I loved this post.
Beautiful trees. I will admit I don't love all of my daughter's crafty ornaments from school, but if she wants them on the tree, then they go on the tree. I'm OK with it. She'll only be little once. She is already starting to edit what goes on the tree. I only have one, so I'm not looking at 10 or more years of dealing with the school made stuff.
Very cute! My sweetie hates the season, but loves decorating the tree...have at it I say.
You've got some wonderful ornaments. :-) Handmade ones are always the best.
They're adorable, and I'm glad you make those trees all your own! Half the fun of Christmas is treasuring all the wonderful memories and it sounds like you have quite a few involved with your ornaments.
Handmade is always precious! Good idea to keep all that prim goodness to yourself on your own tree. I happen to adore my kids' crafty decorations, but my kids are grown ups now!
Love the prim stuff! :o) Great FTF!
PS...I didn't hang any of my kids' school-made ornaments this year. I'm making garland and attaching their creations to it, and then hanging from the window. They get to see their ornaments and I get to have my pretty tree. :o)
Fabulous ornaments. We alway sdecorate our tree together & i love it. Over the years the kids have culled many of their "creative treasures" and sometimes now I do miss the concoctions of glue, paper doily & glitter!
