I have been playing with fabric since Thursday and did a few more hours Friday night cutting out flowers. I started to do the raw edge applique quilting later this afternoon and have done a managed to finish a few flowers and a couple of the butterflies. It is probably not as perfect as Kellie's but I am happy with what I have achieved so far. Word for the wise don't wear fluffy slippers when working with Steam a Seam. It took me a while to pick off all the fabric offcuts from the applique that were stuck fast with the stuff.

Amanda, looks great! Love your fabric choices. I've just booked in to do Kelly's class at Ballarat Patchwork in August. So I'll be practising my free motion quilting LOTS between now and then! Hope I pass as a bit more than a beginner (they say the class isn't for beginners). Can't wait though, I'm very excited. You've inspired me even more! PS - word verification is barmat - too funny.
love your work!! Looks fabulous....how are you going with the raw edge appliqe/quilting...I have a couple of Kellie's patterns but haven't made a start yet..!
Same here..I am yet to make a start on Kellie's patterns...love what you are doing...your fabrics are fabulous....looking forward to seeing it finished...Enjoy.!
